In the vast industry that Direct Sales resides in, it is easy to become robotic in your sales pitch approach. After receiving ‘no after no’ you may be left feeling as if you are not reaching your sales goal for the month. Once you polish the way you pitch your approach, you will be able to think outside of the bubble and execute with success. Here are a few tips to help burst your robotic bubble, ignite your propellers and steer toward a new motivation.
1. Resist comfort.
Resist. Resist. Resist. How many times do you find yourself resisting daily? You can be resisting junk food, oversleeping, amongst another personal task you may have set for yourself. Feeling stuck and stagnant and unhappy is a miserable place to be in. It is so important to be clear on what is making you unhappy. You can then go into problem-solving gear and create a strategy to change that part of your life.
2. Experimental Learning.
We encourage role-playing scenarios if you feel uncomfortable in your approach to new people. Group settings are crucial. In these settings you can work with your friends or your team on the approach. Allow them to learn and mentor one another—share thoughts and ideas.
3. Learn to Listen.
Clearly, listening is a skill that we can all benefit from improving. By becoming a better listener, you can improve your productivity, as well as your ability to influence, persuade and negotiate. You'll avoid conflict and misunderstandings, all of these are necessary for success!
